A Convention Worth Experiencing!

Dice Dungeons: Unveiling Amazing TTRPG Wares
Our first stop at Contropolis New Jersey led us to Dice Dungeons, renowned for their exceptional products. From condition rings to character coins, rolling trays, dice storage boxes, and an incredible variety of dice made from every imaginable material, they had it all. We were fortunate to spend time with their gracious convention manager, Jane, who showcased their two newest products.
One of their latest offerings is the Mutated Monsters, a 5e supplemental book exploring the intriguing concept of evolution in a world abundant with magic. Inside, you’ll find 120 unique mutant versions of existing monsters. Many of which have “loot that is thematically tied” to that specific creature. The book also features new subraces, NPC profiles, detailed monster lairs, and 100 adventure hooks to ignite your party’s journey. To further enhance encounters, Dice Dungeons offers the Mutated Monsters Decks. Three card decks which enable DMs to randomly draw mutations to add excitement to any creature.
We also had a hands-on look at their latest Arsenal Class Dice sets. Crafted from brass, these thirteen hollow dice sets draw inspiration from the weapons and abilities of the base D&D classes. With various color options and some sets featuring paint that reacts to black light, the numbers on these dice truly come alive.
3D2U: Innovative Woodworking Creations
Our next discovery was 3D2U, a New Jersey-based woodworking company specializing in products for the TTRPG community. Their remarkable Baltic Birch Monster Box stole the spotlight—an ideal storage solution for RPG essentials. Available in two sizes, the standard version features two large compartments for dice, minis, or even as a rolling tray. The larger Monster Box offers a large tray, two smaller compartments, and a pen/pencil compartment.
For those seeking a compact dice-carrying solution, 3D2U’s Mimic Chests are worth exploring. Legendary Pants: Dice and Extraordinary Supplements
Contropolis Pennsylvania introduced us to Legendary Pants, a dice company and creator of 5E D&D supplements operating near Philadelphia. We had the pleasure of speaking with their representative, “Chief,” who highlighted two of their newest projects. The “Wine Dice” sets caught our attention, with fourteen acrylic dice sets inspired by drink color palettes like Mead, Bourbon, Rosé, Champagne, and Absinthe.
Legendary Pants introduces their captivating 5E supplement, “Ordinary Towns.” Designed to seamlessly integrate into any campaign without disrupting main storylines, this supplement breathes life into seemingly “Ordinary Towns.” Each town in the book comes complete with a full map, detailed descriptions, and a roster of fascinating NPCs.
