Welcome, weary traveler!  You appear to have crossed a great distance and endured great pains in your journey across the InterWebs.  Won’t you come in?  Yes, rest by our fire for a while.  Let us partake in a bit of merriment and exchange knowledge on a great many subjects…(this is where the DM would say “roll a perception check!”)

Ok, enough of that for a bit.  Hello, and thank you for visiting Bless These Dice! We devote this website to all things in the realm of TableTop Role Playing Games (TTRPGs).  We seek to provide you with superior content surrounding that subject matter.  In addition, if you can’t tell from our intro paragraph above, we like to try and keep things light and friendly in the process.

Who Are We?

This site is moderated by two guys who have been friends for ages, and have been playing TTRPGs for just as long.  We cut our teeth on Advanced Dungeons and Dragons 2nd Edition and have purchased and played content for every release in between (yes…even 4th Edition…unfortunately).  Thus, we both have extensive experience with all the things that go along with this hobby: miniatures, scenery, playsets and play mats, painting, collectibles, virtual tabletops (VTTs), and even pop culture (books, video games, movies, and merchandise).  Put differently; we’re certified TTRPG geeks.

Other than that, the details of who we are in real life should mean absolutely nothing to you!  Honestly, do you really care how (or if) we pray, vote, and love?  We believe there is too much intersection between hobby culture and the “agenda warrior” mentality. For that reason, and to preserve our anonymity, we choose to write under the fictional personalities of Fictus and Talis; two twisted mimic dice, with faces only their sorcerers and deities could love.  Who could possibly find anything objectionable with those two lovable characters?

Our Mission

In our vast experience, we have both parted ways with a fair bit of coin.  Some of it was well spent; some of it was not.  As the hobby has intersected with the internet and content creation, we have both benefited from TTRPG news, previews, and reviews that have often helped us spend our cash more wisely.  However, we’ve noticed there are still other ne’er-do-wells out there, grifting off crappy products effectively fleecing us of our money.  We don’t like that very much.

We want this site to be the “anti-grift!”  We review products that come to our attention and give our subjective impression of the product based on an objective review format (for more about how we rate products, click here).  In addition, we provide editorial perspectives on the TTRPG “news of the day” and intuitive previews of products soon-to-be, or just recently, released to the market, based on existing reviews, social media releases, etc.
